Marketing Students- "Honorable Mention" award in the 2018 American Marketing Association (AMA) Collegiate Case Study

Marketing Students achieve an "honorable mention" award in the 2018 American Marketing Association (AMA) collegiate case study sponsored by Mary Kay. The AMA Collegiate Case Competition is a yearlong event that brings together top marketing students to work on a marketing challenge submitted by a sponsoring organization. The Case sponsor provides a detailed marketing problem for which it is looking to gain the perspective of AMA’s best students, who will compete by developing a marketing strategy in a nationally recognized competition. The RMU collegiate chapter had  AMA members participating in this year's case:  Emily Nobers, Andy Miller, Kaitlyn Brown, Troy Bulchmayer, Rick Hasselman, and Maria Stilitano.

The HR Recruitment Internship is an exciting opportunity for college students studying Marketing, Media/Cinema Production, Multimedia, Communications or Human Resources. This position offers students the ability to apply classroom skills to real world work experience at ABARTA Coca-Cola Beverages. The Intern will assist the HR recruitment team with content-driven initiatives to engage and grow our audience and applicant pools through social media, other digital media sites and offline programs. We are looking for a highly-motivated and creative individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team for the summer of 2018.
 
Bachelor’s degree in progress in Media production, Multimedia, Communications, Marketing or    related field
• Reliable transportation, will likely have to travel to various facilities
• Willingness to learn about the Coca-Cola business and our specific recruitment needs
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills

This will be a full-time temporary summer position, M-F usually 9am-5pm,  $13/hr, for 10 weeks from mid-May through the end of July. Marketing Students-Are you interested in a SBUS FLEAP? SBUS has some exciting news!!!

The SBUS is announcing up to 10 scholarships ($1,000 each) for eligible students to participate in the upcoming FLEAPs (Faculty-Led Education Abroad Programs) this summer. The SBUS FLEAP scholarships are designed to reward, encourage, and support students in their personal and career aspirations.

SBUS Business Summit 2018

The School of Business will present Business Summit 2018, Working Together to Make it to the Top on January 30, 2018 and January 31, 2018 at Yorktown Hall in the Westinghouse and Ferris Rooms.

There will be Great Sessions, Exciting Speakers, Wicked Problem Innovation Hackathon, Networking Opportunities, Chance to win prizes and more.  You will earn set credits for each sessions you attend.  Shuttle will be provided from Massey to Yorktown and back. 

The Department of Marketing and the AMA is sponsoring Mr. Jamie Moore, Director, Sourcing and Sustainability, Eat'n Park Hospitality Group on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. in the Westinghouse room.   Mr. Moore will discuss Eat'n Park's relationships with its sourcing partners such as farms and other supplier organizations that ultimately lead to a more sustainable food system overall, but at the same time lead to customer satisfaction and long lasting relationships.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Looking for an Marketing Intern

The Pittsburgh Steelers are looking for an Marketing Intern to start working on 
May 7, 2018 through August 24, 2018. Interviews will be conducted during the weeks of 
February 19, 2018 and February 26, 2018 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The deadline for applying is 
Friday,  February 16, 2018. This is a non-paid internship for 6 credits. The internship will run for a period of 16 weeks with an approximate work schedule of up to 15 hours per week. The Pittsburgh Steelers will work with college advisors to set up the program to provide college credit. Intern must have reliable transportation.

General Statement of Duties:
o Work directly with the Marketing staff in coordinating overall sponsorship servicing.
o Assist in the execution of promotions and sponsor programs.
o Assist Marketing Department with events such as the Four Steelers Youth Football Clinics,
Gatorade Jr. Training Camps, Men’s Fantasy Football Camp at Saint Vincent College (6/1 – 6/3,
2018), Steelers Women’s Training Camp in late July (during 2018 Steelers Training Camp at Saint
Vincent College) and Steelers home preseason games.
o Assist with other events as needed.
o Assist Merchandise Manager with daily tasks.
o Perform additional duties assigned by all members of marketing staff on a daily basis.
o Assist in the execution of the FedEx Traveling Great Hall Trailer to satisfy sponsor agreement visits

Qualifications:
o Students must be enrolled in Marketing, Sports Marketing, Business Administration or Communications majors to qualify.
o The student must be able to lift at least 20 pounds to adequately perform their responsibilities.
