Public speaking can be one of the most uncomfortable experiences. It doesn't have to be and there is a way to speak with confidence. RMU now has a Toastmasters chapter, run by the students. An informational and membership meeting about the new club will be held on Tuesday, March 13 at 4:30pm in Nicholson 415. Local Toastmasters members will also be in attendance to demonstrate Toastmasters techniques and answer any questions.
Toastmasters presents an excellent opportunity, at a minimum, to learn how to prepare and present team projects. Good public speaking skills are essential for business professionals. With Toastmasters, students can develop public speaking skills before the first job starts! This will stand out on a resume.
Toastmasters offers a very supportive environment for learning effective public speaking and leadership skills.They also like to have fun.
The RMU Toastmasters chapter looks forward to greeting SBUS students on March 13th!
