Do you have an interest in gaining real world work experience with a Global Fortune 400 Company, while working XX hours per week. The Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance Associate will assist with the implementation, maintenance, and continuous monitoring of on-going compliance initiatives and activities related to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Compliance Program. These activities include: regulatory and legislative research, monitoring and advancement of current compliance programs, and data analysis procedures. 

×         Engage our in house Product Development team to understand, organize and communicate regulatory requirements (e.g. Prop 65, CPSC) for private brand products.
×         Assist in development of training materials for Product Development and Merchandising associates.
×         Assist in executing and monitoring national and private brand product recalls due to safety or quality issues.
×         Track, research, and understand legislative and regulatory activity applicable to the Company including requirements related to specific product categories.
×         Perform industry benchmarking and data analysis to identify risk and inform corporate compliance strategy.
×         Monitor Compliance mailbox to support internal business partners with quick, accurate, and meaningful answers to questions / issues.
Provide support to the Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance team.

×         Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in a business or legal oriented field.
×         Requires availability to work normal business hours during the week (8 – 5pm, M-F)
×         Flexible; 15-20 hours per week. Additional hours may be available based upon workload.
×         Leadership experience through student organizations, previous work experience, etc.
×         Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Must be proficient in Excel.
×         Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude.
×         Strong verbal and written communication skills.
×         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
x          Excellent research and investigative skills.
