Marketing Research Internship at Hope Grows


Our Mission
Hope Grows is a Pittsburgh based nonprofit that provides an environment that empowers caregivers to seek wellness of mind, body, and spirit through counseling, education, supportive services, and therapeutic respite opportunities.  We work with corporate healthcare partners in the region to provide quality support through unique coping and self-care programs. Our approach incorporates nature and gardening in a therapeutic model of mental health therapy and support groups, therapeutic respite and short break programming.  Work includes grant-funded projects and a wellness retreat style bed and breakfast, coming soon. 

Position Summary
Hope Grows seeks a passionate, self-directed individual to compile secondary research studies on the caregiver population that can be used during the grant submission process or in applications for corporate or government funding. Additionally, we hope to conduct primary research relating to the caregiver population in Allegheny County and surrounding areas to better understand the needs of those whom we serve. Projects will also involve identifying and compiling information on targeted companies and potential sources of funding.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Compile, organize, and analyze current data relating to the caregiver population
  • Compile, organize, and analyze current data on targeted companies and funders
  • Identify journal articles, case studies, or market research reports that provide statistical insight into the role of a caregiver
  • Collaborate with the Development Director to identify areas in which the nonprofit would benefit from primary research
  • Create questionnaires, surveys, or other assessments to distribute to current and/or potential Hope Grows clients and summarize/analyze results
