  • You are tech savvy and can consistently navigate transportation management and trucking software (McLeod) along with TMS systems.
  • You are an efficient communicator who can constantly manage inbound and outbound telephone calls throughout the workday while listening effectively and paying close attention to details.

·  Day to Day Functions of a Successful Operations Intern:     
           Rate and post available freight.
·         Accept freight according to capacity.
·         Build loads in freight system and dispatch accordingly.
·         Make/receive telephone calls to cover and track freight.
·         Contact customers to offer available capacity.
·         Receive and respond to emails in timely manner.
·         Complete and assist in any task assigned by Operations team and/or Client Solutions Managers.
·         Collect proof of delivery and distribute accordingly.

Qualifications:
  • Intern must be matriculated at their College with an interest in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Operations, Business Management or a business-related field with aspirations of working in industry.
  • Rising Junior or Senior is preferred.
  • Intern must be out-going and possess a dynamic personality.
  • Excellent inter-personal relationship skills and ability to work with individuals of all levels.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for marketing, data analysis and achieving measurable results.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle large phone correspondences
  • Detail-oriented, organized and can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Tech savvy including knowledge of all computer applications, such as: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook etc.
  • Be available to work at least 25 hours per week and report to Beaver, PA or Pittsburgh, PA offices.
